If you loved Cabin Fever then you will love Winterfest in Almonte!
Many shops are open this weekend so do come out for some browsing and tasty treats while you enjoy the fun activities that we have planned for you:
Hot Chocolate Toppings Bar
Hummingbird Chocolate Maker & Café is hosting a hot chocolate bar that you will not want to miss!
Snowman Building Contest
There’s an unofficial snowman-building competition happening in the park behind the post office (unmonitored: snap a photo of your snow sculpture and tag @Destination.Almonte on socials when you post your entry!). Winner will be chosen and notified by March 1st.
Make Your Own Hat
Cheerfully Made Goods is hosting a pop-up shop by Mother Trucking Hats where you can create your own custom hat, on Family Day Monday (Feb 17, 2025).
Scavenger Hunt in Almonte
Kentfield Kids is hosting a scavenger hunt for the kids (and big kids at heart!) so stop by the shop to pick up the participation card.
Kid-Friendly Movie
Come out and enjoy a free kid-friendly movie on Family Day Monday (Feb 17, 2025) at 10am at the Almonte Old Town Hall. The movie feature is 'The Wild Robot' and being put on by the municipality and the Mississippi Mills Youth Centre will be hosting the canteen.
Indoor Skating
After the movie, enjoy a FREE public skate at the John Levi Community Centre in Almonte from 1-3pm (or the Stewart Community Centre in Pakenham from 2-4pm.) If you have any questions about the movie or rink time, please email events@mississippimills.ca
